In a release, Dear Villagers states that the massive launch will include 10 hours of additional gameplay which brings the game’s story to an end.

Haven’t heard of Edge of Eternity?

Midgar touts that EoE hosts a deep and strategic combat system set in a world torn asunder.

The people of Heryon are involved in a desperate war against a mysterious invader.

You will get to wage epic turn-based battles as you follow Daryon and Selene in their quest to find a cure for the consuming corrosion and save the world.

So get ready to journey through Heryon’s unique and ethereal environments and unearth ancient secrets with a cast of charismatic characters to a stunning soundtrack from the composer of Chrono Trigger and Xenoblade Chronicles, Yasunori Mitsuda.

Edge of Eternity is developed by Midgar Studio, a small indie team based in the south of France.

The game was made possible by over 4,000 fans who backed the studio’s successful Kickstarter campaign.

“Making a JRPG as a small indie studio is, obviously, a huge undertaking,” said Jeremy Zeler, founder of Midgar Studios. “I’m so grateful to all the people in the community who’ve helped make this crazy dream a reality. Everyone on the team is excited for the launch.”

“It’s going to be epic!”

Edge of Eternity is looking to be quite epic. The gameplay trailer drops the viewer into Heryon and you get a glimpse of the breathtaking scenery.

The voice acting is crisp and inflected with emotion.

The music is just *chef’s kiss* but what else can you expect coming from Yasunori Mitsuda?

Also important to note: there are mounts. So saddle up boys and girls, two-tailed feline-esque friends are in our future.

If that trailer’s got you vibin’ already you can hop into early access via Steam.
