Pokémon drops release dates for Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Gotta buy em’ all

The Pokémon Company has announced release dates for the latest pocket monster games set to hit the Nintendo Switch.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will drop on November 19, 2021.

For those who don’t know, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of the originals which were released on the Nintendo DS in 2006.

While this is exciting for fans of those games, we’re personally waiting for a Gold and Silver remaster for … Lugia reasons.

The Pokémon Company states that Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be completely faithful to the original games’ story and players can expect an adventure through the Sinnoh region that feels nostalgic and fresh.

But, let’s get down to business. The real hook of this article is the release date for Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

This game is taking the series in a new direction by fusing open-world RPG and action elements.

Taking place in the Sinnoh region of the past, long before the events of Diamond and Pearl, the player will set out to create and complete the region’s first Pokédex by catching, surveying and researching wild Pokémon.

Would-be Pokémasters will have to wait until January 28, 2022 to pick up Arceus.

Pokémon HOME is also getting an update which introduces users to the new “catch calendar.”

This feature allows you to view your Pokémon arranged by the dates they were caught.

All three games will be Nintendo Switch exclusives.
